I would like to challenge the concepts behind the first myth. When people think of economy, the main concern is in jobs. Outsourcing may take some kind of jobs to other countries and the skilled workers that lost there jobs may have a really hard time finding another job that is as good or requires his set of skills. It&#039;s true that some of them may adapt to a higher level job, but most won&#039;t have the opportunity since by definition those kind of jobs have fewer openings.

I think outsourcing is good for the global economy in the long run. But the arguments are lacking: I don&#039;t see much transfer of savings to consumers when jobs may get lost. The important missing concept is reinvesting in better education and research so that the local economy can use the people that are out of work in those higher level jobs. That requires some social conscience and time to adapt.</description>
